MyAT Remote Training – Education and Rehabilitation Organizations - 2 Hour Training Block
Description
TCSAccess is well versed in supporting the AT Training needs of Students and Vocational Rehabilitation Clients. Through a remote connection, TCSAccess Assistive Technology specialists provide End User Remote Training in Assistive Technology. This service provides an efficient means of receiving services without the traditional need of having an AT Specialist on site. End Users can be trained in a variety of levels based on skill set, experience and specific tasks.
To perform Remote Training, we will need the following:
- Ability for instructor to share their screen and computer sound using either TCS Access’ via remote control software
- Capability to remotely view, hear computer sound (and possibly control) users computer
- Strong connection to Internet (wired preferred)
- Dedicated phone connection (for Dragon training
Sample Training Topics Include:
- Using web conferencing software with AT
- Dragon NaturallySpeaking (all levels including designing custom commands)
- Screen readers (JAWS, NVDA, Narrator)
-Screen reader/screen magnification (Fusion (ZoomText+JAWS), SuperNova))
- Braille devices
- Notetaking devices
- Smart devices (iOS and Android)
- Kurzweil 1000
- Openbook
- Read&Write
- Kurzweil 3000
- Inspiration
- Enhancing your productivity with Microsoft Office thru Keystrokes or Voice Commands/with AT
- Using productivity applications e.g. Teams and Slack with AT
- Designing Accessible Excel spreadsheets
- Designing Accessible Word documents
- Designing Accesible PowerPoint presentations
- Tips on using Google Gsuite for the AT user
